David Hern, Jr., Esq. (Of Counsel)
David Hern, Jr. is a graduate of Boston College and Syracuse University College of Law. He is admitted to the Bars of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Federal courts of Massachusetts, and the United States Supreme Court, and is a longtime member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts, and the Bar Association of Norfolk County. David joined Gelerman and Cabral, LLC in 2022, after maintaining a solo practice in Norwood for many years.
David concentrates his legal practice in the areas of zoning and land use and development. He also has extensive experience in real estate transactions, title matters, estate planning, litigation, and probate law. David’s clients include homeowners and small businesses desiring to improve their properties, as well as automobile dealerships along Norwood’s "Auto-Mile" and owners of office and industrial parks seeking to develop or re-develop large sites.
For over two decades, David was an instructor in paralegal certificate programs, teaching real estate law and probate law, first at Northeastern University and then at Curry College.
A longtime resident of Norwood, David is active in local civic, religious, and charitable organizations. He served over eighteen years as Norwood's Town Moderator, retiring from that position in the Spring of 2022, and is an elected Town Meeting Representative. David has served and continues to serve on various committees of the Town. He has also been active for decades in his parish and its ministries. Since 2006, David has been a Member, Trustee, and Director of the Henry O. Peabody School for Girls, a scholarship foundation dedicated to assisting girls and women in furthering their education.
In his spare time, David enjoys family activities, golf, reading, and New York's Adirondack Mountains.
